Pakistanis who are not qualifying express entry or any other immigration program can always come to Canada on student visa and can get PR after his/her studies depending upon where and what he/she studies.

In most provinces student will need job offer after studies to get PR but in case of PHD student may not require a job offer and can directly apply for PR.

Study and work in Canada can get student a lot of points in express entry or any provincial nominee program which can help in immigrating to Canada.

1-Which study/course is best for me which can help in settling in Canada?

other then FA/FSC students all bachelor and masters degree holders please select course which you already have studied or presently studying, it will get you good chance of visa and settling in Canada

2-Where should i study in canada ?

Please check this website for help in selecting a college/university, if any consultant in Pakistan is admitting you in any institute which is not mentioned in this list please do not go for it.

3-Can my spouse and kids come with me on study visa?

Yes your spouse and kids can also get visa with you but it depends upon case to case , it usually depends upon visa officer , if visa officer is satisfy that student can take care of his/her defendants during study then visa can be issued

4-Can i and my spouse work while i am studying?

Yes every student can work 20 hours/week while spouse can work full time and have no restrictions his/her work, please read the link below

5-Can my kids go to school while i am study visa?

yes your kids can go to school like any other child in Canada with no extra cost

6-Will i get free health care during my study in Canada ?

Medical coverage available to international students varies from province to province. In provinces where international students are not covered under provincial health care plans , University or colleges will do arrangements for health care plans but students have to pay for those plans

The following provinces and territories offer health coverage to international students:

Alberta;

British Columbia;

Manitoba;

Newfoundland and Labrador;

Northwest Territories; and

Saskatchewan

The following provinces and territories do not currently offer health coverage to international students:

New Brunswick;

Nova Scotia;

Ontario;

Quebec;

Prince Edward Island; and

Yukon

Is IELTS must for study in Canada?

No but I highly recommend to do IELTS , many universities or colleges will give you admission without IELTS but in that case most probably student may not get visa, most of universities and colleges will ask international student for IELTS , if you can not do IELTS University will offer you English learning courses but embassy/high commission may refuse your visa application.

Students with good marks in IELTS like 6.5, 7 or above have very good chance of getting visa , while students with low band or no IELTS have very less chance of getting visa.

Many consultants in Pakistan or Middle east will offer you admission in many colleges and universities without IELTS , please dont waste your time and money on those consultants.

Do i need consultant to who can help me in getting study visa?

No you can do everything by your self , this way you can safe thousands of dollars.

Its so easy just go to website of university go to their international student section and send them an email , that you are interested in this course and some one from university will contact you , from there on your process of getting admission and visa will start.

How much it will cost me initially to start process?

it depends upon university , most cases university will ask you to pay fee of first semester or full year to get admission, which can cost you anywhere from 500 to 20,000 Canadian dollars.If Canadian embassy or High commission refuse your application , university will refund portion of fee which you submitted, please confirm with university about refund.

other then above charges IELTS in Pakistan will cost you 25,000 Pak Rupees and Visa fee is 150 Can dollars (equal to 12,000 Pak Rs)
