what is difference between embassy and high commission?

Countries which are members of British commonwealth , their Representative office in other member country is called High Commission.

(British commonwealth is association of 52 countries which were ruled by British Empire)

Countries which are not members of British Commonwealth have embassies in other countries.

head of embassy is called ambassador and head of high commission is called high commissioner

to make it easy i will give you example

Canada and Pakistan both were British colonies and they are members of British Commonwealth , So Canada have High commission in Islamabad and Pakistan have High commission in Ottawa.

But in Case of USA (who is not member of British Comment wealth) have their embassy in Islamabad and Pakistan have it's embassy in Washington DC.

Canadian Passport

To all Canadian Passport Holders Please never ever loose your Canadian passport while traveling or visiting abroad, Canadian Passport is proof of Canadian Citizenship out of Canada Stolen passport can be used by other person for travel and if that illegal person travelling on your stolen passport get Caught any where around the world , the thief and original passport holder can get into deep trouble. if you loose your passport outside Canada please report it to local police and contact Canadian Embassy / High commission / Consulate to block your passport. if its not possible to reach to Canadian embassy and its emergency then call on this number +1 613 996 8885. if you loose it inside Canada then call on this number 1-800-567-6868 to block your passport. Criminals and human traffickers mostly use stolen passport for travel , please don't give your passport to any private person , you can give your passport to -Immigration / Customs at any airport around the world -police or any government law enforcement agency -Embassy / High commission / Consulate -Passport offices -Courier (if you are sending to embassy) -Court (if they ask) you don't need passport if you are travelling domestically inside Canada for example you are flying from Calgary to Toronto or Vancouver you don't need passport , you can use your driver licence as your ID , when you are boarding to local flight they will ask you for your photo ID and driver's licence will work there but in case you are going out of Canada you will need your Canadian passport Passports can be used as photo ID , person verifying your ID should return passport immediately after confirming your ID Many employers in middle east keep passports which is 100% illegal , No employer can keep your original passport, if you are Canadian citizen and going for work in middle east please tell your employer in advance that you will not give them your original Canadian passport, if employer insist don't accept that employment offer ,you can give them copy of your passport. many tour operator who conduct pilgrimage tours for Umra and Hajj or pilgrimage tours to Iran and Iraq will take your original passport once you landed at your destination , this also illegal , But i know this is common practice and can not be avoided , i would suggest please use your Pakistani Passport in this case where there is unavoidable circumstances , But if you are performing Umra or Hajj in transit (like you are going to pakistan or coming to canada and stop by for Umra or Hajj) Use your Canadian passport. If you are interested in Pilgrimage tour , i would suggest please go to Pakistan first on your Canadian Passport with NICOP , then go for UMRA or Hajj on your Pakistani Passport, also keep your Canadian passport in your pocket in case FIA in Pakistan ask you , go back to Pakistan on Pakistani Passport and then come to Canada on Canadian Passport , this way you can avoid giving your Canadian Passport to Tour operator. Hotel staff can also not keep your passport , they can only take photo copy of your passport. if you are visiting any country on your Vacations , please keep your passport in safe place , many Canadian/US Citizens loose their passports in Hotels in countries like Malaysia , Thailand , turkey some times hotel staff is involve in stealing of passports

Remember you should get married before your apply and you should keep all your wedding record with you Outland or inland? Now you need to decide if to apply out land or inland. If your spouse is in Pakistan remember he/she cannot get a visit visa to come to Canada, you must apply out land sponsorship .That means that you will send your sponsorship application to Case Processing Center: Mississauga, Ontario with documents and they will approve you as a sponsor. How many citizenship Pakistani citizen can have

i would like share some good information about how many citizenships pakistani citizen can have.

Pakistan allows dual citizenship with only 16 countries: Australia, Belgium, Canada, Egypt, France, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Jordan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland, Syria, the United Kingdom, and the United States

like pakistani citizen can hold citizenships of all those about countries togather , there is no restrictions or There is no international convention or law which determines the nationality or citizen status of a person.

but if pakistani citizen is getting citizenship of other then those countries, then he/she will have to leave pakistani citizenship, like for example if pakistani citizen is getting citizenship of Denmark , norway , India or afghanistan then he/she have to leave pakistani citiznship.

other countries have different rules.

Indians and chinese cannot have 2nd citizenship if they want to get any other citizenship they have to leave there own citizenship.

Canada and USA have no restrictions like if u have 10 citizenships they dont have any problems unless other country have no problem with it.

so if u r canadian citizen u can legally keep valid pakistani and canadian passport in your pocket. as very patriotic Pakistani I always keep valid Pakistani passport with me it will just cost u around 60 dollars for 10 years

CANADA/USA Citizenship By Birth

Canada and USA offer unconditional citizenship to anyone born on their territory , for example "If Any female (who is staying illegally or on visit visa , student visa or work permit) gives a birth to child in Canada, child will be Canadian citizen.

if anyone come to Canada or USA for visit and give birth , child will citizen of Canada or USA but parents can not get any benefit until child reach 18 in Canada and 22 in USA, parents will have to leave once their legal stay is finished.

for more explanation i will give u one more example , For eg Pakistani couple who are here on visit visa and they have a son here in Canada ,son will be Canadian citizen but parents will have pay all the health care expenses by them selves because health care is not free for them ,their son medical will be free because he is Canadian citizen, then at end of visa they will go back to Pakistan with Canadian passport of his son , now they they can send their son back to Canada for study after FSC or Matric.

Once the child reach 18 in Canada and 22 in USA he/she can help his parents immigrating to Canada.

God forbid if child who was born here in Canada and who is living with his parents in Pakistan get some serious disease in Pakistan he/she can always come back to Canada for free treatment , he/she can come for study and job as well.

Thousands of Chinese go to USA for birth tourism , they go back to china after birth of child and once child gets 18 he/she comes back to USA

To discourage birth tourism, Australia, France, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, and the United Kingdom have modified their citizenship laws at different times, granting citizenship by birth only if at least one parent is a citizen of the country or a legal permanent resident who has lived in the country for several years.

Most South American countries like Brazil/Argentina/Chile/Maxico etc grant unconditional birthright citizenship and allow dual citizenship.

Dual Citizen (Canadian/Pakistani)

If you r dual citizen and you r using Canadian passport to travel to Pakistan , you will need one of these documents along with ur Canadian passport 

1- Pakistani visa ( ur stay will be restricted to time of visa and u will have to leave Pakistan before ur visa expires)

2- NICOP - unlimited stay and u will get all rights as Pakistani citizen plus u will get consular support from Canadian high commission

3- Pakistani valid passport- u will show ur passport and tell immigration officer to stamp ur Canadian passport for entering Pakistan - so u can get all consular support from Canadian high commission , u will get unlimited stay and will get all rights as Pakistani national

Pakistanis not qualifying for immigrant or student visa to USA , Australia , Canada or Europe for any reason can go to Malaysia and can live there on long term basis under Malaysia My Second Home program.

only thing they need is investment of 300,000 Malaysian Ringgit (equal to 75 lac Pakistani rupees)

applicants aged less then 50 are required open a fixed deposit account of 300,000 Malaysian currency in any bank with a local branch in Malaysia

They can take back half of amount (150,000 Malaysian Ringgit) back after one year and only 150,000 (equal to 37 lac and 50 thousand Pakistani rupees) will be left invested with bank

applicants aged 50 and over are required open a fixed deposit account of 150,000 (equal to 37 lac and 50 thousand Pakistani rupees) Malaysian currency in any bank with a local branch in Malaysia

They can take 50,000 Malaysian Ringgit back after one year and only 100,000 (equal to 25 lac Pakistani rupees) will be left invested with bank

Permanent Resident Card - PR Card

To all Canadian Permanent Resident Card holders

Please read this information

1-Please never ever lose your PR card, PR card is extremely sensitive document and can be misuse.

For example if you are on visit to Pakistan and someone steal your PR card, anyone who has little bid similar face to you can make real new Pakistani passport (illegally) on same name as yours and can travel to Canada on your PR card, if thief get caught at Canadian airport or anywhere else, thief plus real PR card holder can get into deep trouble.

2- Please use PR card only for travel

Please don’t keep your PR card in your wallet or purse , keep it in safe place and only use when u r travelling out of Canada , Air travelling inside Canada you don’t need PR card.

if you lose PR card in Pakistan or anywhere outside Canada you cannot come back to Canada , No airline will allow to board you unless you have your original PR card or Travel document issued by Canadian embassies , if you lose you PR card in Pakistan , then you have make travel document for travel to Canada from Canadian High Commission Islamabad which will take 3 months,

PR card cannot be make outside Canada

3-PR card can be use as photo Identification but use your licence instead

PR card can be use as photo identification card but I would suggest keep your PR card in safe place (unless you are travelling abroad) and use your driving licence as identification card, if someone don’t have driver’s licence please go to your local registry and ask them to make you government identification card, they will charge you around 50 dollars and will make government issued picture identification card which can be used as government identity card

4-If you lose your PR card in Canada

If you lose PR card in Canada please call at this number 1-888-242-2100 and block your card so it cannot be miss use, please don’t go out of Canada until you get your new card because without PR card you can go out of Canada but you cannot come back, PR card renewal sometimes take around 6 months

5-If your PR card get expired it does not mean you lost your Permanent residency

If you spend 2 years in every 5 years in Canada you can keep your permanent residency even if your PR card get expired , PR card is only use for travel outside Canada ,please apply for renewal of your PR card 6 months before expiry of your current PR card so you have no problems in traveling

6- Don’t give your PR card to everyone

You can give your original PR card to immigration or customs on any airport during your travel (like for example you are coming to Calgary from Islamabad your original PR card will be checked at Islamabad, Dubai, London and Calgary Airports) or to any government agency or offices in Canada when they demand or other countries embassies or consulates in Canada

Don’t give your original PR card to any private person or travel agents, they can only see your original PR card but should return it to you on the spot, please take picture or scan of both sides of your PR card and keep it in your computer and use photo copy if you are giving it to travel agent or any other private person.

Student Visa

Pakistanis who are not qualifying express entry or any other immigration program can always come to Canada on student visa and can get PR after his/her studies depending upon where and what he/she studies.

In most provinces student will need job offer after studies to get PR but in case of PHD student may not require a job offer and can directly apply for PR.

Study and work in Canada can get student a lot of points in express entry or any provincial nominee program which can help in immigrating to Canada.

Is IELTS must for study in Canada?

No but I highly recommend to do IELTS , many universities or colleges will give you admission without IELTS but in that case most probably student may not get visa, most of universities and colleges will ask international student for IELTS , if you can not do IELTS University will offer you English learning courses but embassy/high commission may refuse your visa application.

Students with good marks in IELTS like 6.5, 7 or above have very good chance of getting visa , while students with low band or no IELTS have very less chance of getting visa.

Many consultants in Pakistan or Middle east will offer you admission in many colleges and universities without IELTS , please dont waste your time and money on those consultants.

Do i need consultant to who can help me in getting study visa?

No you can do everything by your self , this way you can safe thousands of dollars.

Its so easy just go to website of university go to their international student section and send them an email , that you are interested in this course and some one from university will contact you , from there on your process of getting admission and visa will start.

How much it will cost me initially to start process?

it depends upon university , most cases university will ask you to pay fee of first semester or full year to get admission, which can cost you anywhere from 500 to 20,000 Canadian dollars.If Canadian embassy or High commission refuse your application , university will refund portion of fee which you submitted, please confirm with university about refund.

other then above charges IELTS in Pakistan will cost you 25,000 Pak Rupees and Visa fee is 150 Can dollars (equal to 12,000 Pak Rs)

All Pakistanis living in Canada who have less income and can not invite their parents on super visa can always bring their loved ones on normal visit visa. if you are Canadian citizen , permanent resident or on work or student visa you can bring your parents/sister/brother/uncle/aunt/sister or brother in law etc to visit you for a short period of time you can invite all above  if you have never met your loved ones for long time or your loved ones wants to come to Canada for a short visit or you (female) are expecting a child or you think that you are victim of domestic violence or you are in a lot of stress for any reason and need emotional support and you badly need a family member there are no specific rules for normal visit visa like other visa but visa officer always consider these things before issuing a visa 1- the person you are inviting should leave Canada before expiry of his/her visa 2-you should have regular income 3-you should have enough cash in your bank account which shows that you can support person you are inviting 4-person you are inviting should have enough cash in their bank account which shows that he/she can bear cost of visiting Canada 5-Person you are inviting have no criminal background Visit visa can be issued for 6 month up to 10 years , each visit should be less then 6 months person visiting should leave Canada with in 6 months of each visit Documents required from a person inviting. Canadian Super Visa

Super Visa allows the parents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents to come to Canada as visitors for a period of up to two consecutive years at a time without having to renew their status.

The application process is similar to that for a regular Visitors Visa However, few additional things are required are here.

A letter of invitation from the child or grandchild residing in Canada;

Documents that prove the child or grandchild meets the Low Income Cut-Off (LICO) minimum (see below);

Size of Family Unit Minimum necessary income

1 person (your child or grandchild) $24,328

2 persons $30,286

3 persons $37,234

4 persons $45,206

5 persons $51,272

6 persons $57,826

7 or more $64,381

More than 7 persons, for each additional person, add $6,555

it means ,for example if u r inviting ur both ur parents and u r family of 4 , u should be consider family of 6 (ur family of 4 + 2 ur parents) and ur income should be more then 57,826

Proof of parental relationship with child or grandchild, such as a birth certificate that names him or her as a parent; (u can get it from NADRA) and

Proof of medical insurance coverage for at least one year with a Canadian insurance company

if you are inviting your father/mother in law and your wife is not working , you can co- sign the application with your wife.the invitation letter should be signed by both of your and a declaration of financial support for your wife should be included

All Super Visa applicants will be required to undergo a medical examination. Forms and instructions for this examination will be issued by the visa office after the application has been submitted
