Canadian Immigration - Express Entry

Immigration to Canada through express entry have two parts (explained below) , Most popular program is Federal skilled worker , this program is good for someone who have no job offer from Canada and who can also not afford to study in Canada.

First part
-----------
You have to check if you can apply for Canadian immigration - express entry

For that please check link below, you have to score 67 or above in this step
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

If you are not sure whether you are scoring above 67 or less , you can check this link
http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp

If you are getting above 67 it doesn't mean you qualify for Canadian Immigration , this will only take you to next step which is to creating an express entry profile , remember there is another points system in express entry system and don't start your application process until you are sure that you will get 67 in first step and above 400 in second step (express entry- Points system explained later)

You cannot create profile until you have done IELTS and have education credential assessed

How will they assess your IELTS score please check this link
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp

they usually use Canadian Language Benchmark to assess your IELTS score , i have made table for you understanding about how CLB is equivalent to IELTS

CLB LevelReadingWritingListeningSpeaking
108.07.58.57.5
97.07.08.07.0
86.56.57.56.5
76.06.06.06.0
65.05.55.55.5
54.05.05.05.0
43.54.04.54.0

You have to score CLB 7 in first part and CLB 9 for second part to qualify for Permanent residency , my advice dont apply if your score in IELTS is less than 7 in any band and 8 in listening , you can apply for express entry with 6 band but you will not be invited for PR,  IELTS will cost you around 30,000 Pak rupees

Next step (Educational degree assessment)
you have assess you education degrees before you create your express entry profile , Canadian Immigration will not accept your degrees and you will not get any points for your education until you assess your degrees ,  your university will have to send your education degrees in sealed envelop to education assessment agency in Canada , Educational degree assessment will cost you around 200 Can Dollars (16000-17000 Pak RS)

here is link where you will find list of Education assessment agencies
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp

Next Step (Job codes)
when ever you apply for Canadian immigration you will use codes for your job , and you will see in link below which is best code which matches your present job
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

The occupation must be NOC 0, A, or B for FSW or CEC

Second Part
------------------
There is another points system in Express entry, you can check points details here
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

If you want to know how many points will you score you check this link
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

there is no passing points here but you should score above 400 , this will give you chance of getting invitation for PR.

once you have all done then you are ready to create express entry profile , you can create your express entry profile here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp
and register for the Job Bank http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/home-eng.do?lang=eng

After your express entry profile is created you will be in a pool with thousands of other applicants around the world , applications will be only assessed by points and Merit ,you country of passport don't count.

last part wait for your invitation to apply (ITA) for Permanent residency , if you were invited for PR you will pay 550 Can Dollars/per adult (equal to 46000 pak rs) and
Landing Fee 490/adult (Children dont need to pay landing fee)  Can Dollars (41 Pak Rs)
Dependent children fee is 150 Can (13ooo Pak RS)
if you were not invited for PR in one year time your profile will expire and then you have reapply.

Canadian Immigration send invitation 2 or 3 times in a months to people with highest points , how many applicants will they select each time no one knows it depends upon Canadian Immigration requirements , but you can check the number of applicants selected each round and there score in this link
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/past-rounds.asp

I am not immigration consultant or lawyer , i am doing this on request of many Pakistanis who lives in Calgary Canada and who requested me to explain all this , all this is my own research please contact official sources before you take action on what i have explained above.

Any question please ask me here or message me

what is difference between embassy and high commission?

Countries which are members of British commonwealth , their Representative office in other member country is called High Commission.
(British commonwealth is association of 52 countries which were ruled by British Empire)
Countries which are not members of British Commonwealth have embassies in other countries.
head of embassy is called ambassador and head of high commission is called high commissioner
to make it easy i will give you example
Canada and Pakistan both were British colonies and they are members of British Commonwealth , So Canada have High commission in Islamabad and Pakistan have High commission in Ottawa.
But in Case of USA (who is not member of British Comment wealth) have their embassy in Islamabad and Pakistan have it's embassy in Washington DC.

Canadian Passport

To all Canadian Passport Holders Please never ever loose your Canadian passport while traveling or visiting abroad, Canadian Passport is proof of Canadian Citizenship out of Canada Stolen passport can be used by other person for travel and if that illegal person travelling on your stolen passport get Caught any where around the world , the thief and original passport holder can get into deep trouble. if you loose your passport outside Canada please report it to local police and contact Canadian Embassy / High commission / Consulate to block your passport. if its not possible to reach to Canadian embassy and its emergency then call on this number +1 613 996 8885. if you loose it inside Canada then call on this number 1-800-567-6868 to block your passport. Criminals and human traffickers mostly use stolen passport for travel , please don't give your passport to any private person , you can give your passport to -Immigration / Customs at any airport around the world -police or any government law enforcement agency -Embassy / High commission / Consulate -Passport offices -Courier (if you are sending to embassy) -Court (if they ask) you don't need passport if you are travelling domestically inside Canada for example you are flying from Calgary to Toronto or Vancouver you don't need passport , you can use your driver licence as your ID , when you are boarding to local flight they will ask you for your photo ID and driver's licence will work there but in case you are going out of Canada you will need your Canadian passport Passports can be used as photo ID , person verifying your ID should return passport immediately after confirming your ID Many employers in middle east keep passports which is 100% illegal , No employer can keep your original passport, if you are Canadian citizen and going for work in middle east please tell your employer in advance that you will not give them your original Canadian passport, if employer insist don't accept that employment offer ,you can give them copy of your passport. many tour operator who conduct pilgrimage tours for Umra and Hajj or pilgrimage tours to Iran and Iraq will take your original passport once you landed at your destination , this also illegal , But i know this is common practice and can not be avoided , i would suggest please use your Pakistani Passport in this case where there is unavoidable circumstances , But if you are performing Umra or Hajj in transit (like you are going to pakistan or coming to canada and stop by for Umra or Hajj) Use your Canadian passport. If you are interested in Pilgrimage tour , i would suggest please go to Pakistan first on your Canadian Passport with NICOP , then go for UMRA or Hajj on your Pakistani Passport, also keep your Canadian passport in your pocket in case FIA in Pakistan ask you , go back to Pakistan on Pakistani Passport and then come to Canada on Canadian Passport , this way you can avoid giving your Canadian Passport to Tour operator. Hotel staff can also not keep your passport , they can only take photo copy of your passport. if you are visiting any country on your Vacations , please keep your passport in safe place , many Canadian/US Citizens loose their passports in Hotels in countries like Malaysia , Thailand , turkey some times hotel staff is involve in stealing of passports

Spouse Sponsorship

If you are to getting married to someone in Pakistan and don't know how to sponsor your spouse, please read this and try to do it yourself, you can save thousands of dollars this way First you need to pick an application, Application is here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp

Remember you should get married before your apply and you should keep all your wedding record with you Outland or inland? Now you need to decide if to apply out land or inland. If your spouse is in Pakistan remember he/she cannot get a visit visa to come to Canada, you must apply out land sponsorship .That means that you will send your sponsorship application to Case Processing Center: Mississauga, Ontario with documents and they will approve you as a sponsor. The time that takes is usually 2-3 months to but current processing times can be seen here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/canada/process-in.asp#sponsorship After that, the application is forwarded to your local visa office. If your spouse is residing in a country other than Pakistan, you can pick which of the two visa offices you want. Otherwise it will be processed in their country of nationality. You can see the processing times here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/05-fc-spouses.asp If your spouse is staying in Canada as a visitor or on some other visa, you can pick whether you want to apply outland or inland. for inland processing times are here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/canada/process-in.asp#perm_res Avoiding potential problems with your application The most common reason for people to be called for an interview is that the visa officer has doubts about the relationship being genuine. It is up to you to send immigration some quality data, emails, chat logs, phone records, photos, letters and other material to prove to them that your relationship is the real thing. Other reasons you might have problems with is eligibility of the sponsor. Sponsor don't need to be employed but should have some employment history also The sponsor cannot be on social assistance, cannot be bankrupt and cannot have a record of violent crimes or crimes against family members. If that is the case, better get that cleared up before attempting to apply. Dependent children If your spouse has dependent children, they must be included in the PR application, even if they are not coming to Canada. Refusals due to income and medicals You will be asked to provide information about your income but you will not be denied to sponsor your spouse and dependent children because you do not make enough money. It is possible though that if you make absolutely no money at all that immigration may ask you how you plan to support yourselves. Spouses and dependent children are also exempt from the clause about excessive demand on health care so you do not have to worry about them being refused for that reason. Sponsoring your spouse while living in another country If you are a Canadian citizen, you can sponsor your spouse without being in Canada but you do then have to prove that you are planning on moving to Canada when your spouse gets approved for permanent residency. Such proof can include having arranged jobs, being accepted to college, having arranged housing or letters from friends & relatives stating that they know of your plans and that you can stay with them while you look for housing etc. If you are a PR, you must reside in Canada in order to sponsor your spouse. But if immigration finds out that you are not in Canada, you risk getting your application refused

Express Entry

you should get at-least 450 points to get invitation for permanent residency

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

if anyone is getting score of 450 or more than they can go for next step , but in my honest opinion

only couple with less than age 30 with IELTS score of 7 can qualify this score.

or people who have studied or presently doing job in Canada can qualify

or people who have confirm job offer can also qualify

if anyone's score is less than 450 you can still apply but most probably you will not get invitation for PR

also please look at this site for self assessment

http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp

please ask here or PM me if u have any question

Remember i am not professional consultant or lawyer , what ever i post is my own research and
i am only sharing it in good faith just to help Pakistani community , please consult official sources
before you take action on information which i have shared

Thanks
